Feather Love

Hello!  So, I'll be the first one to spill the beans and tell you all that my blog mate 'Rocky' a.k.a Soo is getting married!  I am always so excited to hear about new plans over early morning coffee in the lunch room at work, and when I stumbled across this photographer and her absolutely stunning engagement photo's I couldn't wait to post about them, and dedicate this post to my partner in crime.
Noa Azoulay-Sclater is a photographer based out of San Diego.  I am in LOVE with her wedding pictures, and you HAVE to check out her site.  She also has a fun blog.

Home, home on the range....

I was browsing around this evening, looking here, and there, and came across this life size dollhouse that I remember being completely taken with a few months ago.  The house is an art installation by artist Heather Benning.  It was abandoned in the 1960's and now again has all the furnishings of a 60's inspired home.  The house is right on the border between Saskatchewan and Manitoba, just about an hour from where I grew up.  How incredible would it be to be driving down a lone highway, surrounded by golden fields, the sky starting to fall at dusk and suddenly, there there was an old farmhouse, it's rooms exposed, right in the middle of nowhere.  Read more about it here!

oh.me.oh.my. {etsy shop feature: emedemarta}

for my birthday present this year, i received exactly what i wanted: the Bambi necklace..and the sweet packaging that it came in was so great that i feel like i need to share my experience!

here is a picture of everything that came from barcelona. isn't it all so tasteful and pretty?
the amount of love, care, and attention to detail that the artist put into both the necklace and the packaging is wonderful- it even included a personalized note to my fiance!
and of course a close up of the beautiful necklace..

thank you, marta! we were impressed by every single aspect of the purchase -

Bedroom LOVE!

I finally joined the rest of the adult world, and got myself a decent, BIG bed. I love it, and am now on the hunt for the perfect bedding, and also how to fit everything I have in my now too full room. I came across this bedroom, along with an amazing house tour on Design Sponge today. This is the home of Dave Alhadaf, owner of The Future Perfect, a home store in Manhattan. The whole home is pretty amazing, but there was something about that afgan ( the official word for crouched blankets in our family, I don't know what you guys call them) that I though looked so perfect. I'm not big on big, puffy perfect bedding, it just looks too high maintenance. I also suddenly thought, of course, SHELVES. All furniture problems solved. I'll get rid of it all and just use shelves.

Jamie Hayon

While passing through Design Sponge ages ago I spotted a rocking green chicken, and that began my love affair with designer, Jamie Hayon and his whimsical creations. He transforms his amazing imagination into complete interiors, which feel like something out of another reality. ahhh. I love.

Erica Tanov's home to go gaga over.

Images from Apartment Therapy
While browsing through Apartment Therapy today I came across a brilliant house tour that I am still raving about.  One in a hundred, that I can't get enough of.  I rarely read much about the home dwellers themselves, but this one made me want to get to know these ones.  Erica Tanov designs women's clothing in Berkeley CA.  You can see her beautiful collection here.  And you must go here to see the rest of her beautiful home.
